Nest thermostat learns as you use it

Thermostats are just those things that sit on the wall that you mess with every now and then when it’s really cold or hot outside. The makers of the iPod have set out on a mission to change the way we think about thermostats, and made a new system of managing the temperature in your house. It’s called the Nest Learning Thermostat, and it will never stop learning about how you adjust the temperature.

A simple wheel helps you program the temperature and length of heating and cooling cycles. Whenever you so much as touch the dial, it will take note of your actions and use the information it stores to heat or cool the house the way you like it. It can cut your energy bills in half because it will predict your needs, and set the most efficient temperature. You can control everything from your smartphone, so if you want to return to a toasty home after a long day of work, you can change it before you even get there. If you want this awesome thermostat, be willing to pay the $249 it costs to get it. There are even six sensors that will track light, motion, temperature, humidity, etc. Even though it’s a bit pricey, it’s likely worth it to have a comfortable home that is at a temperature you prefer.
