iStomp is a reprogrammable stompbox that works with your iPhone

If you’ve played the guitar for a while, there’s a good chance that you’ve experimented with an effects pedal at some point. These can be great for creating a new sound at the push of a button, and then switching it back just as fast. Unfortunately, if you use a few different pedals throughout the course of a set list, you can find yourself lugging around several of these, which be a pain. Wouldn’t it be great if you could buy a single pedal, and instantly reprogram it with the effect you want? You can.

The iStomp Stompbox appears to be just like any other pedal, however, it is very special. Using your iPhone and the available app, you’ll be able to transform it into one of the available pedals. Currently, there are around 20 available pedals in the store, which run about $5 each. Once you load a pedal, the iStomp does all of the processing, just like any other stompbox. At around $150, it is a little pricey. However, you already get two free pedals, and if you buy a few more, it’s definitely paid for itself.
