Today’s smartphones are great for a number of reasons. The least not being that they have a large capacity for holding your media. Of course, some of us have music and video libraries that can’t be contained by the flash storage on our portable devices. Thankfully wireless connections make it possible to keep your media on a computer, and stream it to your phone. All you need is the right software.
Whether you have a Mac or PC, you can install the Instinctiv server, which you can use to collect your music and videos. You can then install the Instinctiv Player on other computers, or smartphones (Android and Maemo devices only) and stream all of your music to them instantly. What if you’re somewhere with a bad connection? The software can cache a number of songs on your phone, based on your listening preferences. These tracks will be available when you’re not connected to the internet. It can even identify songs that you hear on the radio, if you hold the mic up and let it listen to the music.
