There are two types of people in this world. Those that worry about being late to an appointment, and those that don’t. I’ve always been one of the worriers, to the extent of being paranoid. That guy hovering outside the door an hour early for your party? Yeah, that’s me. The dude hanging around at the airport for 2 hours (‘in case security was really bad’), yep me again.
So someone else has obviously got the same problem because they’ve come up with Bounce, a new Android app which combines GPS, your calendar data and Internet traffic information to ensure that you’re never late for an appointment again. That’s right, you set it for your scheduled meeting, and it will check the distance you need to travel and the traffic situation and alert you when it’s time to leave.
Sounds wonderful doesn’t it, fellow earlybirds? It works with Google and Exchange calendar and delivers its alert up to an hour ahead of time. I’m assuming it’s US only, and it’s definitely only Android (iPhone coming). Oh and still in beta, so be careful not to rely on it for your Parole Office appointment.
Apps like this make me feel like I'm living in the future. A beta version of the future.
