French press coffee is definitely a favorite of mine. It has leftover granules that often sink to the bottom of your cup, and they can be a bit obnoxious as it feels as though you are leaving that last drop of coffee to be forever unfinished. Thankfully there are many methods to brewing all that caffeine goodness, so it is always a happy day to find out about new ways of going about your morning ritual.
The Vacuum Brewer essentially streamlines the French press method, in that will remove the granules from the situation altogether. It uses vapor pressure to move the steamy liquid from carafe to carafe. As the coffee grounds sit in the upper container, you will have fresh, clean coffee with no leftover bits once you return the water to the lower container. It is a bit pricey at about $90, but for for the possibility of 8 perfect cups of coffee, I don’t think it would be too easy to say no.
