The Furby is coming back…maybe it is the end of the world?

Apparently today is all about being nostalgic. Surely you remember those creepy little hamster chicken creatures called Furbys. They were disappearing off of the shelf like no tomorrow a few years back. Not only that, but they were selling for about three times the amount outside of retailers just because people wanted them so badly.

If you didn’t know, these things acted like they were possessed. I actually saw one of them start talking when the batteries were out of it. If that wasn’t terrifying news enough, there is talk of a new Furby headed to stores during the holiday season of this year. Tiger Electronics will be pumping out a new generation of friend called Taboo, which already throws up a red flag for me. Pricing hasn’t been revealed just yet, only this tiny picture. It looks as though there will be LCD displays instead of moving parts for eyes, and they will likely have WiFi connectivity. Seeing as they will have the power of the internet, I consider this to be the end of the world. It was nice to know you all.
