If you want to go camping, it doesn’t really matter how much you bring, because the burden will be carried by your car until you have to unload it. However, if you’re out backpacking, every little ounce of weight matters, because it’s all up to you to carry it. As you know, there are going to be hundreds of different types of backpacking tents out there, but how many of them are going to cost you $1800?

Sierra Designs wanted to make something that could fit two people comfortably, provide ample room to sit up, and give you all of the features you’d expect. This is why they built the Mojo UFO, and it has spared no expense. The material it’s made out of is cuben fiber, which is a fabric that is used in sailcloth. To compliment this material, they decided to use carbon fiber poles, all of which gives you a super light tent that will only weigh one pound and eleven ounces. There are going to be lighter and more expensive tents out there, so there will only be a limited run of these.
