Global surfing

I stumbled across a couple of useful sites the other day which provide details on cyber cafes around the world. The Cybercafe Search Engine lists information on over 6000 cafes in 167 countries, which makes it a pretty awesome resource. The Cybercafes.com site is not as big (4000 locations in 149 countries) but it does give more detailed information, such as opening times and pricing.

For the sake of completeness let me add in The List, a vast list of international Internet Service Providers and The Freedom List, which is an excellent database of cheap and free global ISPs. Hey presto, the perfect hobo package to satisfy all your travelling, communicating and online connuberating needs.

Don’t say the Ferret doesn’t do anything for you!

Wow, I just did a search on my made up word ‘connuberating’ and Google came back with zero results and then automagically flashed over to a list of results for the next nearest spelling. Nice new feature folks (although shame that ‘converting’ is not close). Arf arf!
