If you like your end tables to be free of clutter, having a lamp smack dab in the middle of it probably irks you a little bit. Of course they do provide light, but if you want things to be as minimalistic as possible, this will be a nuisance more than a wanted addition. Their added light to a room can be appreciated at times though, so why not find a compromise?
The Enlightenment is a white plexiglass lamp that uses a 9watt energy-saving lamp to give light to a room from your bookcase. It’s 24 cm high, 17 cm wide, and 8 cm deep, and equipped with a European plug. It costs about $99, but 10% of it goes to charity. It’s looking like this is sold out at the moment, but it could crop up again at any moment if they get enough interest for it.
