Noisy Typer gives an old-fashioned feel to a new-fangled machine

There’s a certain sort of charm that comes with using a typewriter. It’s not really that it makes typing easier, as it’s actually quite a bit more difficult to get everything right on the first try. However, the tap-tap-tapping and the “ding” hitting the end of a line were quite satisfying to hear.

If you want to be able to enjoy the symphony of those sounds without having to buy an actual typewriter, you can just install the Noisy Typer. It gives each key a classic typewriter sound, and dings whenever you press enter. This will only work on OS X at the moment, and was made with openFrameworks. For those of you wondering, this is the best of all prices; absolutely free. This means that you furious typers out there can annoy anyone in a coffee shop in a whole new way!
