Shimi is a docking station that wants to be your dance partner

When you listen to one of your favorite songs, you probably start belting out the words or dancing along to the beat (or both). You know that if you heard the same song at an event or club with friends, you would probably have a smile plastered on your face. Grooving to the beat is always more fun when it’s more than just one person, but you’re not always going to have a friend at home to dance with you.

The perfect remedy to this is to get a Shimi. This little robot taps his toe and bobs his head along with your music. However, his creators wanted him to be more than a little novelty item, so they made him interactive. He takes in voice commands, can turn on music if you give him the beat to a song, and can look at you if you tell him to pay attention. He provides you with two 6 Watt speakers, and uses your iPhone to essentially be his brain. This little guy costs about $150, and will jam out with you whenever you dock your phone.
