Furby is here to stay, and there’s nothing we can do about it

You may remember a while back when I spoke of the horrors of the thing called Furby. These creatures were surely spawned in the fires of Mount Doom, and were only meant for nefarious purposes. While there wasn’t any pricing or set information at that time, things have progressed rather quickly.

It seems that while I wasn’t paying attention, they have amassed an army of these gremlins called Furby. It was previously thought that they were going to be called Taboo, but it seems as though they decided to stick with their old name. These new and improved versions will respond to your voice as well as music, and can feel when you pet it. You can feed them with your finger, or with a corresponding app, but keep in mind that every action you do towards these seemingly harmless balls of fluff will shape their personalities. For instance, they’ll start off speaking Furbish (which can be translated on the app), but will start learning English over time. It’s a $71-$75 purchase, but be warned, as these things can take on a life of their own (dun dun DUN!).
