Walker’s Path Illuminating Belt makes sure you aren’t left in the dark

If you like to run at night, then you probably bring a light of some sort with you. There’s nothing like thinking you would know a route blindfolded only to discover there are a pile of sticks waiting to trip you. While there are headlamps you can wear, they often blur out your vision a bit, and make it hard on other runners, as you essentially have your brights on the entire time.

If you want a more unobtrusive method to light your way, you might like the Walker’s Path Illuminating Belt. This nylon hex-mesh belt will hold your keys, energy bars, what have you, and has a very bright LED that sits front and center. It acts the same way headlights do on a car, and will make things visible without washing out your view with light. This should fit most as it has an adjustable strap, and only costs about $60 should you be interested.

  • I shall order one for my wife straight away. She can wear it back-to-front because I already believe the sun shines……….
Seriously though: as of this coming weekend we shall be having more hours of darkness than light each day and we have a municipal pick-up legislation in force for dog walkers. This gizmo would at least enable us to see where to scoop and where not to step because not everybody adheres to the legislation.
I was about to suggest clipping a bicycle rear light on the back but I see the manufacturers have already thought of that.
