When you want to check the temperature, you probably pull out your phone and see what the Weather Channel app has to say about things. While this isn’t a bad methodology to follow, some people prefer to do things the old fashioned way and use a thermometer. When it comes to the fall season, it’s always a toss up between slightly warm and freezing, and having a full range thermometer is not always needed.
If you want a creative way to know whether or not you’ll need a jacket before heading out, you might like the Leaf Thermometer Paper. It is literally a piece of paper that looks like a leaf that is imbued with chemicals that act somewhat like a mood ring. Whenever it’s warm out (68-77 degrees Fahrenheit), it will be a natural green hue. If it’s colder than that, it will be brown, and if it’s warmer, it will turn yellow. You can opt for the large or the small leaves set, and will be looking at spending about $22 on them.
