When you log calorie intake, you can enter into the search menu which has what you’re looking for about 98% of the time. If that doesn’t work, it has a barcode that will let you scan in an item. They have a pretty extensive database for exercises as well, so you don’t have to do much guesswork.
There’s a graph that will show you the progress you’ve made in your weight loss, and a huge community that will help cheer you on as you drop the weight. This app doesn’t hound you about what you’re eating, rather it makes sure you get enough calories, and lets you know if you’re not eating enough. The best thing about this app is that it’s free, and is best used with friends or family so you can all help each other out. It’s available on your browser, iDevices, Android, and Blackberry. For those who really want to know the number breakdown, you can opt for the Fitbit Ultra Wireless Activity Tracker which is an altimeter that will track your sleep schedule, steps taken, whether or not you take the stairs, and more. While I recommend just using the app, the $100 activity tracker would be a good addition if you really start getting into it.
