Despite being in the 21st century, with robots on Mars and Bieber on stage, we’re still unable to reliably and confidently move files and data around from computer to computer. Sure there are a ton of ways to do it with services like Dropbox or complicated network setups, but c’mon, why is it so difficult to make it work, when all it should take is a single simple cable?
The Sanwa Smart Data Link USB Cable looks like it’s just such a product. On the outside it appears to be a humble USB cable, but inside, rather like Clark Kent at his finest, it’s a powerful and incredibly easy way to move data from Mac to PC, PC to PC and Mac to Mac. No drivers to install, no fiddly set up needed.

Plug it into the two machines and suddenly your cursor can leap between the two, which means you can literally grab, drag and drop files from one desktop to another in an instant. It doesn’t get much easier than that! You can also do copy/paste from one machine to another, as well as controlling each machine from the other keyboard and mouse. Yeah we know, it’s almost magical unicorn.

So if you’re fed up with using SD cards, USB drives, and other kludgy methods of moving stuff from computer to computer (or tablet to tablet etc), then this could be the solution you’ve been waiting for. All this power doesn’t come without a cost however, but if you do this sort of stuff a lot, then $126.48 is cheap at the price.
