The world around us has changed at a rapid pace with the rise of technology. Romantic relationships can be formed online before ever meeting someone, and the same goes for friendships. Having children who are growing up in this sort of environment is new, especially for parents who grew up without a computer. Kids can get themselves into all sorts of trouble, and it’s hard to tell what’s what unless you’re up to speed on how social networking works.
For parents who need a bit of a leg up, SociallyActive might be a useful tool. This is a sort of big brother program that will let you see not only your child’s interactions with other people on the web, but also photos they were tagged in, comments on various posts, and more. (Obviously this is heavily aimed at Facebook users.) This is something that costs $9 a month, or $89 a year, and could be helpful for those that need help learning how to protect their children online. Although, this isn’t exactly going to make your kids love you if you’re spying in on their every move.
