Online conference calls are great until you have that one person who jumps in the call and adds a static sound that will drive you crazy during the meeting. If you are one of those people, you know that a lot of that has to do with your mic picking up every little sound in the room. If you need to have online conversations on a regular basis, then you probably want to get a better microphone. Unless you want people to start actively avoiding your online calls.
The Tiki USB Microphone from Blue wants to make sure you don’t have that fuzzy background noise ever again. This is no bigger than a thumb drive, and has two custom condensers and DSP. You won’t need to install anything to get this little thing working, and it will cost around $60. You might be able to find a decent headset with a built-in microphone for about that much, but if you’d prefer to go mic-only, this seems like a viable option.
