Kanex DoubleUp USB Charger keeps you charged, but at what cost?

DoubleUp Dual USB Charger Kanex DoubleUp USB Charger keeps you charged, but at what cost?

Making more of your two-port outlet means a lot when you don’t have a lot of them. It’s often a good idea to get a power strip,  or anything that will increase the number of outlets you have available for use, as most of our lives run on our electronics. However, more ports doesn’t always mean more power. Too many things plugged in can mean slow charging, and if you need something ready to go pretty quickly, you might be out of luck.

DoubleUp is a dual USB charging station that can charge two tablets at the same time. It is a bit bulky, so you’ll want to make sure it gets put on the bottom outlet, but it has two 2.1amp USB ports that can charge smartphones and tablets alike. Green and red LEDs will let you know whether it is fully charged, or still charging so you know when to unplug your device. It will cost you $49 to get one of these, and it comes in either black or white. However, I don’t know if I’d be willing to drop that much on a couple extra USB ports.
