You really know things are weird when life mimics art mimics tech. So someone creates a brilliant invention back in the day called a calculator, we love them, use them to bits and then along come alternatives in the shape of handheld computers, tablets and mobile phones with calculator apps, so we switch. All very reasonable.

But of course we’re not satisfied with that, oh no. Someone has to go and develop an App Calculator, which is a real life jumbo calculator designed to look just like a tablet app. That’s right, lovely rounded icon digits and all. Is that weird or what?

The product is actually not that bad, in that it’s solar powered and a great size for those with clumsy fingers, but recreating an app? Really? Anyway if you think this is the way to give yourself some iPad cred, we suggest you wrap up your bundle of cash – all $15.86 worth – and send it off right away. We won’t tell on you.
