Adobe offering complete CS2 software suite…FOR FREE! [Freeware]

Adobe is turning off the authentication servers used with its Creative Suite 2 (CS2) software of several many years ago. The upshot is they’re handing out the software and the serial numbers in case anyone is still using it. This isn’t the 30 day free trial, it’s the whole shebang; Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere, GoLive everything.

Yes it’s old and it probably only runs on OS/2 XP but if your boss won’t spring for Photoshop or Premiere and you’re in a bind it may just save your sanity. Make sure you check the system requirements first, or better yet, hang the system requirements, download it anyway and see what happens. Available for Mac and PC versions. Via Adobe.

[Update: Well according to this Gizmodo post, it’s all a mistake. Or is it? The files are still available, along with serial numbers, so we’re now genuinely confused.]

  • I doubt this is any good to me. It says it's for
    "Mac OS X v.10.2.8–v.10.3.8. PowerPC® G4 or G5 processor"
I'm running version 10.7.5 on a Mac mini with Intel processor.

    • I think you need more computer grunt to run this type of stuff, Philip. :)

  • It's the real deal. I downloaded Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2. Installed them with the serial numbers from the download page and they run fine on my Windows 7 system. Big downloads though, Photoshop is over 300 megabytes and Illustrator is over 600 megabytes.
