I don’t know about you, but I miss the days that we had keypads on our phones. The tactile experience added something special to texting or playing games, and spelling actually mattered (auto-correct is the bane of my existence). While there’s nothing wrong with a touchscreen surface, it’s just nice to have an actual keyboard. Not to mention that games are vastly improved when you don’t have your fingers covering the screen.
If you have an iPhone 5, and want to game it up or type with real keys at your fingertips, then the EX Hybrid Controller will be the case for you. The case by itself is simple, but the two magnetic slabs that come with it are the exciting bits. One is a QWERTY keyboard, and the other is a detachable joypad controller. These stick on in a snap, and are super thin at 2mm thick. They are compatible with Bluetooth 3.0, and can last for 40 hours on a one hour charge with 160 hours of standby time. It’s a pretty creative idea, but the only games it is compatible with are the iCade ones. Not overly pricey at $60 for what it is, but not so dazzling that it would be worth it.
