Martin Personal Jetpack – I believe I can fly!

Have you ever wanted to soar into the heavens, but not in an airplane stuffed full of passengers? I think we’ve all at least had one dream of flying free, only to wake up to boring ole gravity pulling us down. Of course, science is hard at work trying to make these dreams a reality, but they’ve still got a ways to go.

The Martin Jetpack is definitely a step in the right direction, and you’ll be able to get one for your very own to buzz around on in the coming years. Of course, that’s assuming that you have $100k lying around. This flying machine can go at a “reasonable” speed, for a “reasonable” amount of time (whatever that means). They say that it is very safe to use, and will be easy to operate. However, the initial payment, as well as keeping up with the premium automotive gasoline and 2-stroke oil mixture would a money sink-hole that you will never be able to escape. This is likely only going to be used commercially for quite some time, but I’m sure we’d all like to pop in on friends and family riding one of these some day.
