There are so many potential uses for the Doodle Pillowcase, that we’re genuinely surprised it took people so long to come up with the idea of a notepad designed pillow cover that can be written and drawn on with washable pens. The first company to commercialize it seems to have been StitchDesignWorks, but since then a bunch of imitators have doodled onto the market.
For sheer brazen cleverness though, we have to take our hats off to this Instructables DIY Doodle Pillowcase set, which runs through the ingredients and design to make your very own version from common household materials. The only caveat we have is whether it’s really wise to encourage youngsters to scribble on household items from a very early age, especially if they probably can’t tell the difference between washable pens and those of the more PERMANENT type.
Still it’s a nice project, and good luck with that new washing machine too.
