Storage is really ridiculous. No really. If the same amount of progress had been made in cars as in computer storage over the past 15 years, we’d all be driving around in vehicles that could do 1000 mpg, and more. But no, we’re still stuck with the gas guzzlers. But luckily the boffins keep delivering astonishing data cabinets to help us forget.
This Buffalo MiniStation Slim is a new external hard disc which is as thin as a pencil, and yet holds 500GB, which is half a chuffin’ terabyte if you’re counting. That’s totally silly, isn’t it? You could probably store every book in your local library on there and still have space for your Queen collection.

It’s USB 3.0 which translates to very high speed data transfer at up to 5Gbps and features a microB connector. Oh and it’s powered from the USB port, which saves on another cable. The price for all this technolovely is £59.99 or $89.99 in Albuquerque.
