Forget about all that electric scooter, Segway nonsense, what you really need to get around is a zero emission scooter that works by rock and roll power. Just think, no batteries to replace, ultra low maintenance and a nice compact folding format to carry anywhere.
The XLD Space Scooter comes with air-spring shock absorbers, an aluminum and steel frame and a net weight of just 9 kg. The scooter comes in black or white colors, and looks like it could be a lot of fun. We’d like to see it moving up hill as well though, just to get an idea of how easy (or not) it is to use on longer journeys. If you’ve a yen for bouncing up and down a lot (leave the helmet cam at home, eh?) then this could be the one for you. Priced at £109.99 plus delivery. [Thanks Philip]
Excellent, having the movement automated from the board is great. I like the way you can drop to the back to shift weight when going over rough ground.
Unfortunately I am over the manufacturer's weight limit of 75kg.
It reminds me of the hand-driven railway trolleys that used to turn up in old westerns and Laurel and Hardy movies.
