Welcome to the new look Red Ferret, hope you like it

newredferret Welcome to the new look Red Ferret, hope you like it

Well, we decided to take advantage of the fresh spring temperatures to roll out a fresh spring design which we hope you will all enjoy. The idea is to help make it easier for you, our cherished readers, to access the great archive of content we’ve built up over the past 13 years, and also make the site more responsive on new platforms such as tablet computers and smartphones.

As well as the re-design, we’re hoping to deliver a whole raft of new content and valuable reader features over the coming months. Some of it’s going to be very exciting, and we’re lining up some great partnerships which we’ll be announcing soon. In the meantime, if you have any comments, suggestions, advice or pure naked cash to throw our way, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We love talking. Really.

Thanks to all of our readers from all of us here on the Red Ferret team.

Wow! I really like the new layout and updated look.

One small issue- the “Show More Posts” bar doesn’t appear to handle multiple clicks correctly. I just get the same set of 7 posts added to the page again.

Thanks Simon, and yes we’re aware of the bug. Hoping to get it fixed soon. :)

hello. i just wanted to share a professional typographer/designer’s opinion regarding the “THE” in your logotype. I would suggest rotating it 180° so it reads bottom to top. It seems counter-intuitive but is actually more accepted from a design standpoint. Not sure if that came up during the redesign but seems like a quick fix.

WOWZERS! This is better than a wet dog, in a dry barn! A very nice and great looking improvement. Loads quickly, easy to get around and find things. It’s neatly laid out and makes browsing the site, a lot easier. Good job!

Drop the ‘the’. Just Red Ferret. It’s cleaner.

A bit boring though, don’t you think? :)
