I’m somewhat mystified by the marketing girl with the headphones, but notwithstanding DeepNet Explorer is actually a cracking good web browser. I routinely install and uninstall IE alternatives (don’t we all?) – including Firefox et al – but this one may be a keeper, if they just get rid of a few tiny bugs (and to be fair I am using the beta version).
Why’s it so good? Well, numero uno – it fits right in with my IE use. Completely. I have to make no sacrifices, and in fact it improves on it with things like the tabbed windows and mouse gestures. And it’s got Gnutella P2P and an RSS/Atom reader elegantly built in. Yowsers! What’s more the reader can display in newspaper format, i.e. an aggregated frame full of different news sources. This is definitely one to watch. Hey, and did I mention it’s free and has no adware or 3rd party Bonzai Buddy things? Check it out!
