What’s equally impressive is the superb measurement section, which details every single measurement you need to take – along with very valuable video instructions to make sure there’s no mistake – so you can be sure that the finished garment will fit like a glove.

The company is so sure of its offering that they give a Perfect Fit Guarantee on all their products, so if it doesn’t fit the way you want, you can take it along to a local tailor to have it altered and Tailor4Less will refund the cost. There are price limits on the refunds, but they should be enough to cover most reasonable alterations. If you need more done, then it’s probably best to use your local consumer law return and refund process.

The main problem we found when trying out the service was the fact that the darker colors such as blues did not show up at all well on the monitor, unlike the lighter offerings such as grey. This made it very hard to get a good idea of what we were ordering, which kind of defeats the object of the exercise. However we quickly found the problem was with the display settings on the monitor (on Windows go to Control Panel – Display – Calibrate Color) and after tweaking a few settings it all worked much better. We feel this is something they ought to mention up front on the site, before you start choosing colors and designs.

The site also features a ladies section, which again offers a wide range of clothes and customization options. As with the men’s section, it’s clearly aimed mostly at working office attire, so the choice of leisure or casual garments is somewhat limited. Nevertheless what there is on the site should be enough to satisfy a wide range of needs, and we were very impressed with the depth of the product offering as it is.

Overall this is an extremely well thought out and clearly presented store, with a great feature set, and enough choice to suit most people. What’s more, and this is even more impressive, the prices are very reasonable too. For bespoke tailoring this is something of a major development, and one that more conventional clothing stores will do well to watch. Definitely worth bookmarking for the future.
