National Geographic Shoe Lights – there’s adventure afoot!

Shoe Lights National Geographic Shoe Lights – theres adventure afoot!
The scariest thing about hiking at night is not really knowing where to put your feet. Obviously one foot in front of the other, but you’re not going to know you’re stepping into a hole until it’s happening. We’ve seen a way to light up shoes in a colorful way before, but if you’re wanting something that will hold up on a jaunt through the forest, you’ll need lighting with a bit more substance.

National Geographic is all about exploration, and so they created the Expedition Shoe Lights. These snap on to most shoes, and will replace the need for a flashlight. There is a white LED mode for path finding, and a red mode for nighttime. The lights can rotate up and down so you don’t have to finagle how you place it on your shoe. One pair of these will cost you around $8, but you should make sure you have a shoe with a tongue or lip of some sort, otherwise you’ll be getting something you can’t use.
