Getting a regular old umbrella is fine and dandy if all you need to worry about is keeping water off of your head. However, if you experience any difficulty walking, especially in damp weather conditions, it’s nice to have a walking stick handy. Forgetting a cane on a rainy day could be rather problematic quite quickly, so it’s best to get an umbrella that can handle a bit of a stress test, or just carry a backup walking stick for you.

The Walking Stick Umbrella is technically two walking sticks in one. It has a fiberglass cane tucked inside the core, and also has a rubber tip at the top so you can use the closed umbrella whenever the downpour lets up. It’s a $69 umbrella that has a SPF of 50, so you’re going to have protection from the sun as well. May not be of use to most of us, but for those that experience some trouble getting around from time to time, this could be quite helpful.
