Tremor FX – new vibrating seat system should rock your boat in your own living room

Have you ever been to a movie theater and enjoyed vibrating seats as part of the entertainment? You will either love it or think it is weird, but now you can take that experience home with you and make your movies really shake your life in your own living room. The TremorFX is a new breed of wireless vibration seating which looks like it could do the job.

Having the seat right in your living room is also definitely a good excuse for not going to watch Superman vs Batman at the theater down the road. I mean, you can simply wait for the movie to hit your favorite legal movie download spot, and view it from home with all the convenience and none of the expensive popcorn trauma. And if you visit movie theaters a lot, you will know there’s always this one person who will annoy you to the point almost of no return.

OK, so, how does this thing work? All you’ll need to do is connect a small box to your home cinema receiver via an HDMI capable, and from there it will send wireless triggers to the seat that makes it vibrate in sync with the movie soundtrack. The sensations here match the intensity of the film’s sound effects, which is cinema grade quality right there in your own home. Are you feeling it yet? No idea on price, but more info is available from the Tremor FX press release.

Those look about as comfortable as economy-class seats on Air Siberia.

    • Don’t you knock Air Siberia, I’ve spent many a happy hour playing with the in flight entertainment on there. The air nozzles.

And their seats shake for a different reason!
