There’s no question that Bluetooth speakers are here to stay, look around you, there’s so *many* of them. Big ones, small ones, itty bitty blue ones, they’re kind of taking over like a bad case of the Tribbles (look it up). But this latest version grabbed our attention instantly, if only because of the slick marketing and cool gimmick.
The Singing Machine Home is a Bluetooth powered speaker that does all the usual yada yada connect to your phone or tablet and beam your cool sounds out to the room stuff, but with an interesting twist. Connect it to your TV and you’ll instantly get full blown Karaoke machine functionality, complete with WiFi connected access to over 8000 high resolution music videos to singalong-a-happy with.
The Karaoke bit is subscription based, so you’ll have to stump up some cash for the privilege, but if that’s too much for your wallet or tastes, you’ll still be left with a pretty decent wireless speaker (which actually looks great too) complete with a dinky wireless multi-function microphone remote. Not bad at all. The unit is due for release at the end of October at a price of $299.00. More info.
