OK, so it’s Monday, but there’s no reason for everyone to get all depressed and unhappy. After all, there’s only another 120 hours to the weekend, which should make it pretty easy to deal with. But for those of you who may not be able to cope with even that short a period, here’s a little something.

The Fullscreen Mario site is offering up a complete web browser based remake of the original Super Mario Brothers platform game, delivered to the world back in 1985 by Nintendo. The project is open source and free, and all the source code is available if anyone wants to tinker.

All the original levels are there, plus a map generator, which means you should never run out of manic stuff to do. The game uses standard arrow and WASD keys as controllers, and if you’re the really adventurous type there’s even a full blown level editor and map generator. Pretty awesome. [Via BoingBoing]
