RC Inflatable R2-D2 – Blow up the droid, in a friendly non-destructive way

Those poor lovable droids from the Star Wars films always seemed to be mere seconds from getting destroyed as they accompanied their reckless masters on a foolhardy mission to save the universe, but there’s no reason to feel bad about blowing up this little astromech droid.

The RC Inflatable R2-D2, which can be inflated to just a little over 2 feet tall with the included foot pump, is ready for practically anything, thanks to the drive units underneath the inflatable body that allow R2 to go forward, backward, make turns, and perform 360-degree spins, just like his on-screen counterpart. He can even stay upright when going down stairs and right himself if he does happen to fall down, thanks to his low center of gravity.

If you’ve always wanted an astromech droid of your very own, this $79.95 creation is probably as close as you’re ever going to get, unless you manage to hitch a ride on a ship that’s travelling to a galaxy far, far away. If that’s the case, give us a call. We’ll ride shotgun.
