Forgotify has got to be one of the most splendid new ideas we’ve seen to date in the music arena. The site basically offers everyone the chance to listen to any of the 4 million songs which have not been listened to at all on Spotify.
That’s right, four million songs languishing in their silent sorrow caves on the world’s most popular music streaming service. How sad is that? Well now they’ll get a play, and with a bit of luck within a short space of time there will be no songs on Spotify which haven’t been heard. Luckily there’s also a Next button for those Austrian yodeling songs you may not enjoy too much.
You’ll need Spotify installed on your computer of course, but once that’s done, the whole thing is dead easy. Just click on the mini player on the website, and the tune will spring into glorious audio-vision. Some great tracks too, judging from our recent audition. Nice one.
Thanks to you, I found Forgotify, and thanks to Forgotify, I found a band called Footch Kapoot, and I have just ordered their CD. Very impressed with the internet today.
