Freetuner – your free friendly online guitar tuner

guitartuner

It’s nice to know that out there amongst all the high tech bits and bobs, people are still thinking about the poor old musicians, struggling to keep their heads up while all around are losing theirs. Or something. So as a public duty, we’d like to do our bit and introduce the new FreeTuner site.

The site offers nothing more or less than a free guitar tuner. Plug your mic into your computer, navigate to the site and you can be tuned and playing in a matter of seconds. What’s more that nice big display means you can see it from across the room. Can’t say fairer than that, can you?

You get 4 minutes to do your stuff, which is plenty of time if you’re not a beginner, and it worked perfectly when we tried it. Lovely stuff.

Nigel is the managing editor of the Red Ferret, as well as a freelance columnist for the Sunday Times newspaper in London. Loves tech and fancies himself as a bit of a futurist, but then don’t we all?
