They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and that seems to stretch across product boundaries sometimes. After all, why should one company have all the glory of a letter of the alphabet, when there’s so few of them to go around?
Meet the Medion Akoya PC S1002DR (snappy name, guys) which promises to put the X back in extra. It may be small (around 15cm x 15 cm) but it packs an AMD E2-1800 APU (whatever that is), Radeon graphics, a 320 GB hard drive, 4GB RAM, WiFi, HDMI out and a multi-card reader in that…um… unusual shape.
It also seems to come with the usual complement of ports, as well as 6 channel audio, six USB 2.0 ports, RJ45, mouse, keyboard and Windows 7 for the win. Ahem. The price for all this fancy shaped technology is £199 and it comes in any color you like as long as it’s black.
