Google Tips – a really cool way to learn all the top tricks to get the most out of Google services

Love ’em or hate ’em, you’ve got to admit they’re everywhere. Google applications we’re talking about. Even if you don’t use the company’s email service, you’re likely to use search, or Android or even Maps or YouTube. But many people still struggle to get the best out of these cool services, and that’s where the company’s new tip site comes in.

Google Tips is a new website service which provides a collection of very useful tips and tricks for getting the absolute most out of Google applications. Things like setting up Google Now to feed you automatic weather reports for your flight destination, so you know what to pack, or how to set up Google calendar to make meeting scheduling a breeze.

The neat thing is the way it’s all set out in easy to read cards, no wading through loads of menus, or pages full of dense text. This means you can learn how to get things done in a matter of minutes, and in fact they even tell you how long it will take to set up a particular Google feature to your liking.

There’s a ton of really great info available, for instance we learned that Google Maps on your desktop computer automatically synchs with your Android phone Maps so you can start a search on your laptop and immediately switch to the phone on your way out the door. Very handy indeed. Definitely a bookmark for us.
