Apparently mobile phones are dirty. No really. Some dudes with white coats on claim they can have up to 18 times the amount of bacteria as a public restroom toilet handle. We’re trying not to think about that too much. Anyway, like a knight in shining armor there’s a hero come to our aid.

Phonesoap is a combination charger and sanitizer which uses UV light to kill all those nasty nasty bugs and stuff. Not only that, but it also moonlights by charging your phone at the same time, which we think is definitely overkill (geddit?).

The whole process of cleaning takes around 4 minutes, and we’re assuming the charging takes the usual time. There’s a couple of handy LED indicators to tell you when both tasks are finished, and the device copes with just about any size of smartphone.
