We’re definitely going to file this one under…ah…weird. So it’s a guitar right, well a half size fully functional one anyway. But it’s designed to be used as a door bell too. We’re thinking that’s just in case you don’t have the spare cash to buy both items at one time. Or something.

The GuitDoorbell features six conventionally mounted strings, and a clever mounting frame and pick affair which automatically strums the guitar every time the door is opened. Yeah, exactly what we thought too. The truly amazing thing is the amount of detail that’s gone into the actual guitar itself, with a laminate Spruce veneer, Rosewood bridge, and overlay fretwork.

It’s almost freaky, like someone is so bitter about their playing skills that they challenged a door to play better. Or something. Anyway you can tune the strings to any chord combination you like (we’re thinking the opening riff from A Hard Day’s Night is cool) and then just stick the thing over the nearest portal. Strange.
