Porch Potty – the first automated dog litter box

Dogs are great and all, but man all that walkies stuff can wear you out big time. Early and late, in all weathers, having to slush through the streets waiting for the ‘magic tinkle’ can make even the most devoted owner yearn for a brief respite. Well now there’s hope.

The Porch Potty comes with everything you need to replace the walkies and keep your pet happy. OK, maybe not totally happy since they do love all that frolicking and sniffing, but you know what we mean. It’s clearly designed for small dogs in the city, where amenities are not often easy to access (think high rise apartment blocks), and it seems to us it could be perfect for those emergency moments.

The product features an automated or manual rinsing system, a scented fire hydrant to help Rover feel right at home (unless he lives in London or Paris, at which point he’s going..’huh?’ with a confused frown) and it an be used with either artificial grass or real training grass (which lasts a couple of months or so).

There’s also a small version designed for very small dogs and indoor use, and prices for the product start at $225 for the manual draining/rinsing system. Here boy…good boy…!!
