It took us a while to work out what was different about this new budget bicycle, but after we clicked, we were instantly impressed. The designer of the Priority Bicycle has completely done away with all the messy and complicated bits on conventional bikes, and produced something that is as clean and functional as anything you’ll see on the streets today.

Forget about oily chains, creaking dodgy brakes and complicated gear change systems, this beast comes with a clean slate in more ways than one. The bike sports a rubber belt drive (logical really), an integral back braking system, and a simple 3 gear hub, all of which means it shouldn’t need those tune ups you get with most bicycles.

The Priority is also lightweight at 25 lbs because it’s made of rust proof aluminum, although we’re not sure how this is going to stand up to the rigors of pot-holed city streets over the long term. But the resulting design is certainly very beautiful. The product also features a nice soft wide saddle, puncture resistant tires and an upright seating position, which makes it perfect for the casual rider who doesn’t want to race the world while wearing Lycra.

But the best thing is the price, since it’s being sold at a very appealing sub $400 mark, which makes it truly a bicycle for the rest of us. The product blew threw its crowdfunding target in a matter of days, and now sits ready to deliver for an early price of $374, and right now US only.
