Baby monitors are pretty standard parental equipment nowadays. Usually they’re just the one way speakers, so parents can hear when their baby wakes up, but increasingly they also have a video component. Now this new Angelcare AC1200 takes baby monitoring to the next level for extreme monitoring.
The Angelcare comes with an under the mattress sensor pad which alerts parents when the baby hasn’t moved for more than 20 seconds, which is a little more precise than the audio only monitors. It also comes with an infrared camera so that you can watch your baby sleeping no matter what time of day or night. Or not sleeping, because babies never sleep, right? Oh and speaking of not sleeping, you can also play a lullaby to your baby across the ether from your smartphone. How 21st century is that?
The WiFi connected device also lets you talk to the baby through the monitor, and has a nightlight built in. It’s the uber-baby monitoring device. OK, so it may seem a little like 0verdoing it, especially since the system works with both Android and iOS cell phones and tablets from anywhere in the world. You can physically check in on your baby from across town on date night, or even more useful, if you have to go out of town on a business trip, this will let you say goodnight to your little one remotely. Angelcare AC1200 is $329.99.
