When you go to gift shops there’s always those giant pencils you can buy. They’re ridiculous. When are you ever going to write with that and what happens when the lead runs down? It’s obvious they’ll just end up consuming a ton of space and so I never buy them (even though I secretly want to. Deep down). Now Michael and George have finally created a giant pencil I can actually use with the HB Lamp.
HB as in ‘Hard Black’ as in 2HB. And Lamp as in, well, lamp. The thing that provides light on your nightstand. This pencil however, will not fit on your nightstand. This is standing lamp. The perfect quirky asset for the writer or artist. The body of the lamp is made from cedar wood, just like a real pencil and the bulb is in the eraser. The side is even accented like an actual pencil, these made to order handcrafted items go the distance.
The really nice touch to this though is the cord. Usually the cord is just to supply the power, but this lamp has an extra-long black cord which can be strung along the wall to make it look like you’ve written all over it, for an added touch of artisic cool. The HB Lamp starts at £988.
