Star Theatre Planetarium – old idea gets updated with some modern star gazing tech

Star Theatre Planetarium stars

It’s starting to get colder out there. The days of laying in fields gazing at the stars and asking yourself deep questions are just about over. Sure you can do the same thing in the fall but it probably won’t be as comfortable. With the Star Theatre Planetarium, you can gaze at the cosmos from the comfort of your living room.

The Star Theatre projects a reproduced night sky onto your ceiling. It shows actual constellations and even mimics the movements of the stars. You can view many night skies simply by changing discs in the machine. So you don’t have to watch the same star show all the time. To make it even more unique, you can set it to throw out some shooting stars, at which point any wishes you make could be covered by copyright.

The gadget is great for relaxing, entertaining children who should be in bed or even creating a mood at crazy parties. The projector uses ultra bright white LEDs to create the stars, which means that the light show will be bright and clear. A much better demonstration of the galaxy than the cheap projectors that just use tiny light bulbs. The Star Theatre Planetarium is $176.95.
