So you’re a modern individual living in modern times. You’ve got a smartphone and you use it for all kinds of things. Have you ever wanted to use your phone in a more hands free mode? Maybe access the weather instantly as you open the door to leave on the commute? Or set a wake up alarm with a tap? You can with WhizTags NFC tags, the programmable buttons for your smartphone.

NFC tags aren’t new. They are ‘buttons’ that you can program simple actions into. Such as volume control, screen brightness, or other similar simple tasks such as firing up an app. They’re like external hot keys for your phone. The WhizTag brand just happens to make a nice adhesive PVC version that it sells in a colorful 10 pack.

These are great for times that you don’t want to pick up your phone for a simple action. For example you’re just about to hop into bed and you need to set the wake up alarm. Instead of activating your phone and going to the alarm app etc, just tap the handset onto one of your pre-programmed tags you’ve got next to the bed and the job’s done instantly.  Or you can have a tag attached to the hallway door frame and as you leave home tap it with your phone to fire up your map and traffic app. Clever stuff!

They have 137 bytes of writable memory and work with all NFC devices. WhizTags NFC tags are $10.99.
