Bikes are great for city transportation. Most cities are embracing their bikers and providing safe conditions, and riding a bike is one of the few things that remain awesome from your childhood. The problem with bikes in cities is space. The VELLO bike is out to solve this problem by offering improved space saving qualities.
Trying to navigate a bike up a flight of stairs or around a narrow side yard is a task. Finding somewhere to store it in small apartments can also be problematic. To help solve these logistical issues, VELLO has developed a folding bike which folds in half so you can roll it (in a more compact form) to where you need to go or store it in smaller spaces. This bike will actually fit in elevators.
This bike was designed with the urban landscape in mind. It’s a smaller bike than most, and more responsive since biking down a busy city street likely has more abrupt stops than a picturesque country road. It comes in three different styles for three different usage levels, from the casual rider all the way to the hardcore cyclist.
The VELLO starts at €890 and will be delivered in March.
