Robots will eventually rise up and take over the world. We’re seeing butlers and security bots already but there are some machines out there who are less potentially nefarious. The Super Awesome Sylvia’s Watercolor Bot is a robot that turns your computer generated creation into a full blown water color painting.
This machine was designed to work with inexpensive water color paints to create medium sized art work based on computer generated designs. In short, you paint on the screen, the bot puts it to page. The final result is a physical painting. The bot also works with pens, pencils, and other dry media. The user creates either by uploading a piece of artwork for it to copy, or, you can paint directly with it by using the program to create while the machine does the messy work on the paper. It works with Mac, Windows, and even some Linux systems. All you need do is download the open source software to go along with it and you’re ready to start creating.
The company designed the product to help promote learning in science and technology but it has practical everyday applications as well. Parents can use this to save a huge mess when their kids want to paint. It would also be great for people who love to create but for whatever reasons can no longer hold the tools. The Super Awesome Sylvia’s Watercolor Bot is $295.
