Ubi – your personal assistant to run your home

Ubi on table

Having a smarthouse makes your life easier (and 10% more likely to be taken over by our future robot overlords first). There are a variety of tools on the market that cater to different aspects of the home. The Ubi combines the majority of them into one creating your own computerized home center.

Ubi hooks up to your Wi-Fi and you interact with it by speaking directly to it. It can hear you up to 8 feet away. This isn’t controlled by your phone, instead, it lets you live (mostly) phone free in your home. All you need to do is ask it to do something for you, set a reminder, send an email, turn down the heat. Ubi does it for you.

As you use Ubi more and more (and why wouldn’t you? It’s like having your own personal JARVIS) it actually learns and will be better able to complete the tasks you give it. There is also an app that allows you to check in on your Ubi remotely and use it. The Ubi is $299.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
